Steps to Enrollment

Once you apply to Humboldt and turn in any missing items, we’ll let you know your admission decision. If you’re admitted, you’ll need to confirm your plans to attend Humboldt. You’ll also need to choose a place to live and sign up for Orientation. Read on to learn more.

1. Log in to myHumboldt

Shortly after you apply, you will receive log-in information for myHumboldt. MyHumboldt is the home of your Applicant Status Page. On this page you can view admission status updates, apply for scholarships, update personal information, accept admissions and more. Make sure you monitor your Applicant Status Page regularly for updates and new information.

2. Admissions Notification

We’ll send you a letter and an email letting you know to check your Applicant Status Page for your admission decision. It's important to view your updates on your Applicant Status Page so we can provide you with the correct next steps.

While we hope to offer you admission to Cal Poly Humboldt, if your application has been denied some applicants can appeal the admissions decision based on extenuating circumstances.

3. Accept admissions and pay your enrollment deposit

Log in to myHumboldt and notify us whether you plan to attend Humboldt. The deadline to accept your admissions and pay the $50 enrollment deposit is May 15, 2024.

4. Find a Place to Live

Humboldt has a range of living options for new students, including individual rooms, suites, and more. We can even help you find housing off campus. Learn about housing options at Housing & Residence Life. The housing application is open for students who have accepted their admissions and paid their deposit. Apply by April 1, 2024 to be in the first group of room assignments and/or waitlist notifications.

5. Send Final Documents such as Transcripts and Optional Test Scores*

Monitor your Applicant Status Page To-Do List for any documents and/or forms we need from you.

You'll need to send copies of your official transcripts before you can enroll at Humboldt. We accept both electronic and mailed transcripts. All final transcripts must be received by July 15, 2024.

*The California State University (CSU) no longer uses ACT or SAT examinations in determining admission eligibility for all CSU campuses. If accepted to a CSU campus, ACT or SAT test scores can be used as one of the measures to place students in the proper mathematics and written communication courses. Visit the CSU Student Success site for further information on course placement.

If you have taken any exams (such as AP, CLEP, or IB) that you wish to get college credit for please also submit these scores. Not all exams receive credit, please visit the Credit by Examination page of our academic catalog for a complete list of exams, passing scores, and credit earned.

6. Complete the Mandatory Registration Tutorial

We'll send you an invitation and instructions via email. You’ll learn how to navigate our campus technology, connect with advising, and register for classes.

7. Participate in Orientation

Our on campus orientation is a fun way to learn about campus resources, meet new students and get acquainted with your new campus community.
