Biography

Julia Alderson's specialization is in the area of American and European Art, 1860 to the present. Her research interests include topics in sculpture, public art, and Land Art, as well as museum methodology and theory. Upcoming publications include the "Chronology," for Nancy Holt: Sitelines (University of California Press, 2011) and "A Temple Next Door: The Thomas Kinkade Museum and Cultural Center,"  for Thomas Kinkade: The Artist in the Mall (Duke University Press, 2011). She is currently working on a project which examines contemporary Native American architecture in Humboldt County.
