VII International and Interdisciplinary Conference in Homage to
Alexander von Humboldt, Claudio Gay and Ignacio Domekyo
The International and Interdisciplinary Alexander von Humboldt Conferences were created in homage to the great German explorer by the university that bears his name: Humboldt State University, in Arcata, California, in 2001. The Alexander von Humboldt Conferences have become itinerants, traveling to different countries, on different continents (America, Europe, Africa); an intercultural and intercontinental congresses whose goal is to bring together researchers, university scholars, historians, geographers, diplomats, writers, journalists, and other leading specialists from around the world, as well as graduate and undergraduate students. These Conferences have already taken place in North America, California (Arcata 2001), twice in Latin America, Mexico (Morelia 2003, Veracruz 2005), in China (Xi’An 2006), in Germany (Berlin 2009), and in Morocco (Rabat & Kénitra 2011).
