Welcome to CD 366 Exceptional Children and Their Families!
The Exceptional Children and Their Families class works in “family” groups to develop the story of a family in which there is a child who has identified exceptional needs. Each family is different and each child is different. The “family” works together to identify the individual and family needs, appreciate the impact of family and child needs on their relationships, figure out how to work with professionals and resources, develop and implement a plan for the family and envision a future for the family. As they do this work, “families” will be posting information and resources on this site and reflecting on each others’ work. Descriptions of the family circumstances appear at the top of each page and will be updated over the course of the semester.
