This weekend HSU celebrated their 100th with the community at both Pastels on the Plaza and Arts Alive! in Eureka at the Clarke Museum.
The day began with the annual community gathering, Pastels on the Plaza at 9am on the Arcata Plaza. Four talented HSU student artists chalked up two different squares in honor of HSU’s Centennial; Aizik Brown, Rachel Ashman, Christian Mora and Monique Molina.
The next HSU Centennial celebration for the day was hosted at the Clarke Historical Museum beginning at 6pm during Arts Alive! This special HSU exhibit showcase/reception was made possible in part by gifts from HSU alumni and others to the HSU Loyalty Fund.
The special reception featured Lost Coast HSU Centennial Big Axe Ale, gourmet cheese courtesy of Cypress Grove Chevre and delicious finger foods.
The evening was a chance for the local community to gather together, celebrate HSU’s 100th and learn more about the campus rich history and plans for the future!
The special exhibit featured displays on Elta Cartwright, KHSU, ITEPP and more. Enjoy the exhibit through December!
