Beer Brewing 101

This one day seminar will cover a variety of topics associated with all-grain brewing including some advanced techniques. The instructor will demonstrate the brewing process on a 1 barrel pub-style brew system. Some of the topics to be discussed will include sanitation/closed-system operations, an overview of brewhouse equipment, carbohydrate and protein conversion temperatures, bitterness/flavor/aroma extraction from hops, yeast management, and many others. The students will benefit from a hands-on style presentation where they will experience the brewing process first hand while discussing related topics.
