Wilderness Survival

August 22 - October 3
In this wilderness survival course students will go beyond the romantic notion of the “struggle to survive” and feel comfortable with meeting basic living needs in a wilderness setting. There will be seven class meetings with some lecture and some hands-on practice. Also one weekend day in an outdoor setting will be arranged for further skills development and experience. Students are encouraged to build a survival kit during the class, but this is not a requirement.
