Backpacking the Lost Coast

April 7 - April 9

Looking for a bit of a challenge, but aren’t ready to traverse steep mountains? This introductory backpacking course takes you on a section of the famous Lost Coast trail, an area that is unique to the entire coast of California. Though the trail is moderately level, the soft sand and traverse rocks make it an ideal challenge for any backpacker.

Mandatory Pre-trip Meeting: 
Tuesday April 4th, 5:30-7:00 PM, Recreation & Wellness Center
Program Fee: 
$150 HSU students • $180 all others
Program Fee Includes: 
Seasoned outdoor professionals highly educated and trained in backcountry living, advanced backcountry medical training, transportation to and from trailhead equipped with a commercial driver’s license, backcountry permits, and 5 fully prepared meals starting with Saturday’s breakfast.
