Outdoor recreation can be a lifelong pursuit with rewards at every step of the way. Since 1994, Center Activities has offered a variety of summer camps and programs for youth and teens between the ages of 6 and 17. All of our youth and teen programming emphasize building confidence, encouraging teamwork and learning outdoor, aquatic and fitness skills in a safe, fun, supportive environment. Our enthusiastic staff brings extensive experience and an individualized instruction style as an essential element of the programs that is made possible by keeping the participant to instructor ratio low at 6 to 1. No previous experience is needed to participate in any of the camps. For our Aquatic Camps, participants must be comfortable in the water while wearing a personal floatation device. Youth Aquatic Scholarship Fund
With the generous support of local agencies such as the Humboldt Area Foundation, Humboldt Sponsors, the California Department of Boating and Waterways, as well as fundraiser events we host throughout the year, we are able to offer qualified low-income youth an opportunity to participate at a reduced fee. Scholarships are based on a sliding scale with applications reviewed on an individual basis. Scholarships are awarded based on financial & family needs, camp space availability and timely application. Contact Center Activities for additional information and a SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION.
Special Camp Discounts
Most of our camps offer a $20 discount for multiple family members registering in one camp, or for a participant registering in more than one camp. Feel free to call our main office at 707-826-3357 to find out which camps qualify.
