Cellular/Molecular Biology Club
We discuss current topics in cellular/molecular biology, learn about career development in related fields, and conduct a science outreach program to local high-school students.
About the Club
We meet weekly to discuss cellular molecular biology related articles and media. We have several activities planned this semester including lab coat design, drawing with bio luminescent cells and jeopardy. We are planning to have an outreach project to help kids get interested in biology with “CSI: Arcata” DNA fingerprinting class for local high school students. Other activities may include a biotech field trip to the Bay Area or even a club research project. Please come to our meetings to suggest other activities and volunteer to run them. We like new people even if we’re kind of shy, and there’s generally food at meetings.
Any registered student, faculty, or staff member at HSU with an interest in cellular/molecular biology.
