Computer Science Club

Have you ever considered how much of your day is spent interacting with some type of technology? You are using some form of technology every time you get in the car, when you use your phone, turn on your computer, listen to the radio, etc. the list is endless! The goal of the Computer Science Club is to help you to better understand the devices that are such a BIG part of our daily lives. We want to help you find ways to fully utilize these devices, and show that they are as useful as they are fun!

About the Club

The club tries to develop at least one project or hold one event in the course of the semester. In Spring 2010, we held a Computer Tech Day, where we encouraged our peers and HSU faculty to bring us their questions and/or devices that needed minor repairs. This was a great “real world” learning experience for us all!

Also, each semester there are a group of students that like to get together for LAN parties. These are a blast! They can range from Guitar Hero (or similar) on a projector screen to many types PC games. If this is of interest to you, please contact the club for when and where information. You do not need to be a member to come to the parties.
