Former Foster Youth

The Former Foster Youth Club is a place where former foster youth can gather to share resource information, and advocate for the needs of former foster youth attending Humboldt State University. We are in the process of building a resource website and accessing needs on campus. Please join us if you would like to work in collaboration and help to create a community of support. About the Club

Currently our club is helping to advocate for the needs of Former Foster Youth students on campus at HSU with administration and will be developing a focus group to advise program development. We hope to gain more insight and feedback from students who have been through the system or who have faced barriers so that HSU is informed and understands the culture and specific needs of Former Foster Youth. We also need help in developing a resource web-site.

Membership Qualifications

The Former Foster Youth Club requests that all members identify as being at least one of the following: a former foster youth, a group home resident, a dependent of the court, or a person who feels as though they raised themselves.
