A Note From The Director
Greetings! I am pleased to be welcoming you in my twelfth year as Director. For those of you who may not know me, I've been involved with the workshop for the past 29 years, initially as a participant, then a piano coach for 19 years.
Violinist Terrie Baune serves as our Associate Director, and Val Phillips (Director Emeritus) is our Advisory Board and Special Programs Coordinator. Instrumental balance is the crucial consideration for each workshop week. The more flexible you can be re: weeks you are able to attend, the easier it is for us to put rosters together, and the better your chances for acceptance.
Feel free to contact Alan with any questions or concerns. Our main goal is for Humboldt CMW to meet your expectations for a satisfying musical experience; we do our best to continue the traditions which have made us the longest running such venture on the West Coast, with the greatest number of participants served each year. Still filled with fond memories from our 50 year celebration six summers ago, we are looking forward to the summer of 2014 and music-making in the Redwoods with new and returning friends.
Best Wishes, Alan Geier
