The College of Natural Resources and Sciences (CNRS) provides a large number of computing devices in support of instruction and research. Faculty and staff strive to provide innovative approaches to learning and computers are common vehicles used to attain these goals. In support of academic freedom, the college offers a variety of computing environments to assist faculty in attaining curricular goals. Environments providing Unix, Intel based Windows, and Apple Macintosh systems will be found in a variety of settings throughout the twenty plus departments and functions within the college. The college Information Technology Consultants (ITCs) Unit is one of several entities that provide computing support to college faculty and staff. The primary responsibilities of the CNRS ITC Unit are college networks, desktop system and computing lab support.
In addition to college computing facilities, the university provides numerous computing resources. These include schedulable computing labs, campus web and email services, faculty course development facilities and student help desk services.
