HFSC, located in both Eureka and Arcata, offers sliding fee based counseling for individuals, couples, children, and families. Their Eureka office has a free walk-in counseling clinic on Mondays 1-4 p.m. Call 443-7358 for more information.
In addition, they offer an Employee Assistance Program, Drug Education Program, Anger Management Counseling, and a Children of Divorce workshop. See website for details.
Psychology Dept. clinic that provides low cost counseling (through pre-master's level students-in-training) for individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children. The website for this organiziation is very helpful in searching for a priviate practice psychotherapist. Most of our local therapists are part of this organization. The website allows you to search by location, health insurance, presenting problem, etc.
Locations throughout the county. Both the Eureka and Arcata offices of Open Door have a licensed clinical social worker on staff and provide behavioral health counseling. The North Country Clinic includes a psychologist on staff and also provides behavioral health counseling. See website for specific phone numbers.
