The Outdoor Assistantship program is a collaboration between the Recreation Administration department, the Center Activities and Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center. Dr. Tasha R. Howe was invited to present her work on child abuse prevention at the Congreso Juconi in Puebla, Mexico. Juconi works with street-involved children and their families to increase child developmental potentials and family cohesion. Education faculty member, Libbi Miller, presented on her paper, Promoting Equity and Social Justice through Reflective Practice with Preservice Teachers at the California Council of Teacher Educators in San Diego, CA in October this year.
The theme of the CCTE Conference this year was Social Justice and Equity: Having a Meaningful Dialogue to Inspire Action and was held from October 19-21.
