Recreation Administration student Genesea Black-Lanouette, a student in the tourism emphasis of the Recreation Admin major, was recently awarded a $2,000 scholarship and an opportunity to attend a conference in San Antonio, Texas from the organization Tourism Cares.  As a part of the scholarship Genesea will also participate in the Tourism Cares Mentoring Program. The mentoring program "identifies students with leadership and entrepreneurial potential and matches them with industry professionals with the enthusiasm, wisdom and guidance to foster their mentees, build their professional networks and further their careers."
