Ramesh Adhikari is an Assistant Professor at the School of Business. He teaches Investments and Corporate Finance in the BBA and MBA programs. His Ph.D. dissertation was on diversification with commodity futures, and survival biases in long run studies. He is particularly interested in the areas of sustainable investing, risk management with financial derivatives and empirical corporate finance. He also studies portfolio risk analysis with high-dimensional statistics. Prior to coming to HSU, Professor Adhikari taught undergraduate and graduate students at the Tribhuvan University and worked at the central bank of Nepal. He was also a research fellow at the Osaka Sangyo University, Osaka, Japan. Professor Adhikari earned his BA in mathematics with a minor in economics from Tribhuvan University of Nepal, MA in Economics from California State University, Sacramento, MS and Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of New Orleans. He received outstanding graduate student award both at the University of New Orleans and the Tribhuvan University.
