Dr. Honda is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Hawai’i-West O’ahu. Honda oversees the campus’ institutional research and assessment, faculty and professional development, as well as curricular and co-curricular program reviews, accreditation, and administrative areas including course scheduling, lecturer and faculty hiring, and other duties. Dr. Honda also serves as the Director of the HSU IR Graduate Certificate and the primary faculty for PSYC 550, 551, and 552.

Dr. Honda holds a bachelor degree in Japanese Studies from the State University of New York, a Master’s in Asian Pacific Liberal Arts from the University of San Francisco, a Master’s in Demographics and Social Analysis from the University of California Irvine and a Doctorate of Education from the University of California Los Angeles.

Dr. Honda has an exten­sive back­ground in insti­tu­tional research and as a fac­ulty mem­ber. She has expe­ri­ence work­ing in the Cal­i­for­nia Com­mu­nity Col­lege, Cal­i­for­nia State Uni­ver­sity, the Uni­ver­sity of Cal­i­for­nia and the University of Hawaii. She has taught at both at the Uni­ver­sity of Hawaii, Manoa and at Hum­boldt State University.
