Stephanie Jackson

Professional (teaching) background
Stephanie has been immersed in her passion – teaching and creating/implementing programs in the area of health and wellness, at Eureka High School for 24 years.  She has taught primarily physical education, however for the past eight years has also been the coordinator of and an active teacher in the certified AVID (advancement Via individual Determination) program at EHS.  Prior to that, she was the coordinator for and active teacher in the HealthPath program, a 4-year integrated program to prepare students for post-secondary pursuits in the health care industry.  She has served as the physical education department chair for most of her tenure in the department and is a co-Site Coordinator for the newly formed Redwood Physical Education and Health subject Matter project (RPE-HP) through Humboldt State University.  She recently received her Certificate in Educational Leadership (administration) through HSU.

Outside interests:  When I’m not at HSU, she….
When not at HSU, Stephanie can be found supporting and loving her two children who are recently in college, working in her garden, creating art, participating in creating and attending professional development, traveling with her family and friends, participating in some fun physical activity and relaxing in the redwoods or by the river.
