Tutoring

Tutoring is available for some courses at no cost to ERE students through the Learning Center. Free tutoring is available to groups of three students or more upon request at the Learning Center. Finding a tutor happens most successfully if the request is made close to the beginning of the semester.

In addition to small group tutoring, ERE’s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) has partnered with the Learning Center to provide large group tutoring sessions to all ERE students in many different ERE courses. The Learning Center has noted a significant increase in participation (as well as efficiency) in the tutoring sessions and is exploring the expansion of this model to other departments. For the Fall 2016 semester, SHPE tutoring sessions are being held on Sundays from 12:00PM - 3:00PM, and on Wednesdays from 10:00AM - 12:00PM in Science D, Room 17.

Tutoring is also available for some courses at no cost to ERE students through the Environmental Resources Engineering Student Association (ERESA). ERESA often sponsors tutors for ENGR 210 (Statics) and 211 (Dynamics). At times ERESA will also augment the pay of students tutoring for the Learning Center. Again, finding a tutor happens most successfully if the request is made close to the beginning of the semester.
