ESM students are a naturally motivated and active group. Required field trips and research can range from weekend camping trips to designing and building sustainable household technologies for the Campus Center for Appropriate Technology (CCAT).
Student-led ESM clubs coordinate Saturday morning restoration efforts, raise funds to attend national conferences, manage morning coffee and afternoon lunch tables, and organize elementary school groups for a day of outdoor education.
Beyond our department, HSU has a variety of student clubs ranging from the professional and academic to the silly and fun! Click the link above to contact one of the many clubs sponsored by Associated Students.
Don’t forget to grab some gear for those off-campus treks, by visiting Center Activities. They provide HSU and the community with a plethora of outdoor gear, classes, and guidance with which to navigate our world.
