Isshrinyu Karate

Time: 7:00 pm-9:00 pm


If you are looking for an activity that provides a workout while learning a practical form of self-defense, this may be for you. Beginners are welcome! Isshinryu Karate is a classical style of Okinawan Karate. Participants learn basic forms (kata), sparring techniques, and a direct, effective form of self-defense. Robert Sherman, eighth degree black belt and chief instructor, has taught Isshinryu Karate continually at HSU since 1979. This class is taught to all levels, and students may earn rank. Several students have been promoted to black belt.

Additional Public Info: Advanced registration is required. Class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, January 28 - March 6.

Price: $40 HSU Students, $45 All Others
