Sustainable Futures: Climate Change and Human Rights

As part of the Sustainable Futures Speaker Series, Jen Marlow will present “Climate Change and Human Rights: Justice Beyond Law.”

Jen Marlow co-founded Three Degrees, a multidisciplinary climate justice project, and is an affiliate professor at the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle. Jen graduated from Middlebury College in 2002 with a degree in environmental studies and literature, and earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2010. Prior to law school, Jen worked as an editor at Orion magazine and as a writer and editor at Ecotrust. Jen is a member of the Washington State Bar.

The Sustainable Futures Speaker Series is presented by the Environment & Community Graduate Program and the Schatz Energy Research Center.

Dance major Jared Mathis presents Jazz Funk Hip Hop, a dance style incorporating hip hop, modern choreographic movement with high energy jazz expression. Come be a part of something fun and enriching!

A modern mystery, a love story and a family drama, with humor and intelligence starring Dakota Dieter, Kyle Handziak, James Read and Queena DeLany. Directed by Michael Thomas, produced by HSU Theatre, Film & Dance.

Clarinetist Dr. Blake McGee from the University of Wyoming performs “Sonata for Clarinet and Piano” by Leonard Bernstein, “Introduction, Theme and Variations” by Rossini, “Bling Bling” by Scott McAllister and “Pleistocene Epoch” by Jenni Brandon. North Coast pianist Jennifer Heidmann accompanies.
