Armenian Genocide Film Screening & Discussion

Time: 6:00 pm-8:00 pm

This year marks the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 by the Ottoman Empire, the first holocaust of the 21st century. The massacre of over 1.5 million Armenians is still not officially recognized by the Turkish or United States governments.

The Armenian Students' Association of Humboldt State University, in conjunction with the INRSEP program, will be showing the documentary The Armenian Genocide by PBS. CRGS faculty member and Genocide Studies scholar, Maral Attallah, will then lead a discussion about the events in 1915 and how they tie into the recent conflicts in Kessab, Syria.

Students, staff, faculty and community members are all encouraged to attend.

Additional Public Info: Free parking is available on 14th and Union Streets.
