Within minutes of campus, students are investigating invertebrates and learning about the ecosystems of Humboldt’s wetlands. Fieldwork like this not only gets your hands dirty, it helps you really understand the world around you.
We take full advantage of the spectacular natural environment that surrounds our campus. For example, geology students study some of the most diverse coastlines in California, while forestry students learn in ancient redwood forests and oceanography students explore the Pacific Ocean.
