The IRS Verification of Non-Filing Letter is a new federal regulation that requires some students/parents/spouses to submit proof that they didn’t file an IRS Tax Return for 2015. If your To-Do-List on your Student Center includes a request for this document, please click HERE for instructions.
Check for critical requested Financial Aid items! Log into myHumboldt and review My Checklists or your Student Center's To-Do-List.
Once you submit an eForm, your To-Do-List will be updated within 3-5 business days to indicate your document has been received. However, your file will only be reviewed when all documents requested have been received. Counselors review files in the order they completed and the review process may take 3-5 weeks.
Use the UPLOAD A DOCUMENT feature in eFORMS! If you have been requested to submit other documents such as a W-2, a Tax Return Transcript, or are submitting supporting documentation, please use the Upload a Document feature. Make sure to always include your HSU ID# on all submitted documents. You can also submit documents to our office via fax at 707.826.5360 or you can stop by in person Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm.

The following forms require parent (and/or student) signatures. Complete the form, print and sign it. Forms that are illegible, missing pertinent information, or are missing signatures WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Be sure to include student HSU ID# on all submitted documents. CAUTION: Using email to send attachments that include a Social Security Number or other private information poses a security risk. Please send forms & documents via fax and be sure to include student name and HSU ID#.
Only submit requested forms & refrain from submitting duplicate documents! By submitting unrequested forms or multiple copies of the same form, you create a delay in service to your student's file as well as other student files.
