Graduate: Documentation of Examination for Currency for Extension of the Seven-Year Limit

Department:
Graduate Studies
Format:
PDF
Routing Instructions:
Deliver the completed form and required documentation to Academic Programs, SH 217A

This form is used to document currency for courses more than seven years old at the date of graduation.

Typically, helping the student demonstrate currency involves developing for each course some exam questions or activities that would allow the student to document current competence in the central content of that course, and then evaluating their responses. Another approach is to identify specific items in the culminating experience that demonstrate currency in a particular course content area.

Regardless of the type of documentation that is attached to the form, students must submit both a Request for Program Variation or Waiver form and, for each course, a Documentation of Examination for Currency for Extension of the Seven-Year Limit form with a copy of the examination attached.

Contact Academic Programs if you have questions regarding the specific requirements for demonstrating currency.
