Application Process

Electronic copies of applications can be emailed to Application emails must be received no later than the close date indicated on the vacancy announcement. If a position is listed as ‘open until filled’ all applications received by the first review date will be given full consideration, however, applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. On average, staff positions generally require four to six weeks to be filled after the initial close/first review date. Should you require assistance with the application and/or application materials, the Human Resources & Academic Personnel Services (HRAPS) office has a computer station available and our front office team would be happy to assist you. Please Note: The successful candidate for a position at HSU is required to undergo a background check. If the position is a sensitive position involving minors, the successful candidate is required to be fingerprinted through the Humboldt State University Police Department (UPD) or their local law enforcement agency. The costs of the background check and fingerprinting are borne by the University. UPD offers Live Scan services Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
