Alumni Artists Open their Studios

Three HSU alumni are among the featured artists in the 8th annual North Coast Open Studios artist’s tour, taking place June 4‐5 and 11‐12 throughout Humboldt County.

John Wesa ('91, Art), Patricia Sennott ('85, Art), and Julie Sessa (FW note ‐ any link for Julie?) ('81, Business) will open their studios to the public for this free event.

All three artists draw a direct connection between their time at HSU and their current work.

"My art has always been nature based and of course, we have such a beautiful campus. I actually took a lot of science classes not just art and that influenced my art. I use to go into the greenhouse to sketch, and today there are still botanical references in my work,” says Sennott, who produces nature‐themed prints and watercolors in her Arcata studio.
