Nominate Amazing Alumni

Donor Update

Since 1960, Humboldt State University has honored countless alumni for their contributions to communities around the country, including, Kellie Johnson (above). The former assistant disciplinary counsel at the Oregon State Bar was recognized for her dedication to fighting for social justice and equality.

Help us continue celebrating HSU excellence by nominating an alumnus or alumna for the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award.

The Humboldt State community is stepping up to make the season a little brighter for Humboldt County kids. Through Winter Wishes, staff, faculty, students, local alumni and community members are sponsoring nearly 100 local children in need and buying gifts off their wish list. Editing the Building Blocks of Life »

In a bustling laboratory, Biology 410 students are clustered into groups of two or three, pipetting fluids into tiny test tubes. The scene isn’t unusual for an upper level course in a science classroom, but these students are doing something previously unseen in undergraduate courses: editing genomes.
