More than 120 alumni, students, staff, and community members came to Ferndale for the Humboldt State at the Humboldt County Fair event Saturday, Aug. 24. Participants were able to have their picture taken with Lucky Logger and spin a wheel at the Forever Humboldt booth to win HSU prizes.

R. Isai Madriz (’07, Marine Biology, Zoology) says a general entomology class at HSU sparked an interest that now has him scouring the wilds of Patagonia in search of rare and primitive insects.


Gift Strengthens Access to Medical and Mental Health Care

Matching Gift Challenge! Student Adversity Fund

Scholarship made Resume Building Possible

The Virginia H. Poole Memorial Scholarship helped a student broaden his resume by allowing him time to participate in the Invertebrate Zoology Research Team and Marine Mammal Education Research Program.
