CSU-LSAMP@HSU

The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Program is aimed at increasing the number of students from populations traditionally underrepresented in the sciences interested in, academically qualified for and matriculated into programs of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) graduate study.

LSAMP program goals are accomplished through the formation of alliances. These alliances may include partners drawn from among two- and four-year higher education institutions, businesses and industries, national research laboratories, local, state, and Federal agencies.

The California State University Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (CSU-LSAMP), with NSF Support, was initiated in 1993 to serve as a comprehensive California State University (CSU) statewide program dedicated to broadening participation in STEM disciplines. At the time the Alliance was established, it included 16 campuses of the California State University and was gradually expanded to include all 23 universities of the CSU.

CSU-LSAMP@HSU is funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF) under grant #HRD-1826490 and the Chancellor's Office of the California State University.
