Follow these instructions to configure your Mac to connect to the Humboldt State University Wireless Network.
1. On the menu bar, select AirPort: On and choose HSUWireless
If you don't know what operating system is running on your Mac, here's how you find out:
HSU's regular wireless is similar to the public wifi services at airports and coffee shops. Speed and performance are generally good, but users will not be able to access certain areas of the HSU wired network, such as departmental fileshares and wired printers, without the use of a VPN connection.
If you don't know what version of Windows is running on your PC, here's how you find out:
Humboldt State University uses network access control (NAC) software to provide more secure and reliable network access for everyone on campus. This means that, when you first request to connect to the wireless network, you will be asked to download and install a small software program called the SafeConnect PolicyKey.
1. Client Security Agent (CSA) Download
Please enter your HSU User Name and Password then select your device type. Click the button to download Client Security Agent (CSA) on your machine.

1. Connect to the Campus Wireless Network
Step 1: Connect to the Campus Wireless Network
Enable wireless networking on your Mac and connect to HSUWireless.
Open a web browser
Step 2: Once you are connected to HSUWireless, open a web browser.
Once you connect to the HSUWireless network and attempt to navigate to a web page, you will see an HSU log on screen.
On completion of the registration process, you should be able to browse the Internet freely.
