Agenda Topic and Meeting Summary 

1. Status Report

Data Cookbook update:

  • Data Cookbook has been purchased. Implementation sessions will be scheduled beginning late July/Early August (following the July DWLT meeting).
  • Following the first implementation session, the DWLT may release a Portal announcement and solicit input from campus departments. 

Subgroup Status Reports:

HR Group

  • The Faculty Dashboard has been presented, with overall positive results. There are currently only a few technical details (permissions) to be refined.
  • The Employee Dashboard requires a small amount of additional work in order to be presentation-ready. Denise Giltzow would like to demonstrate this dashboard to the DWLT at the next team meeting.

Enrollment Group

  • Vikash Lakhani and IR demonstrated a dashboard to the Enrollment group, for student level data.
  • The group discussed Legislative Analyst’s Office Performance Metrics, and how best to incorporate these metrics into the current work with campus dashboards.

2. Review Projects in Progress

  • Presentation of EDM Team Goals for 14/15.
  • Presentation of EDM’s internal project list, demonstrating the request prioritization process.

3. Group Charge

  • The group discussed the future of the DWLT, its continuing role and objectives, and how to leverage the DWLT to best serve campus.

4. Next Meetings:

Arlene Wynn will schedule the next DWLT meeting. Topics may include:

  • Demonstration of HR Group dashboard(s).
  • Discussion of LAO performance measures.
  • Continuing discussion of the DWLT’s Group Charge.

The first Data Cookbook Implementation Session will be scheduled to take place following the July Data Warehouse Leadership Team meeting.
