If you prefer to use Firefox as your browser, there are two ways to do this. The first method works for a single OBI session, and the second is a permanent workaround that will ensure OBI will always work with Firefox version 9.
Step 1: In Firefox, open the Tools menu. If your version of Firefox doesn't show a Tools menu, press the Alt key to display the menu bar and then open the Tools menu.
Step 2: Select Add-ons from the Tools menu
Step 3: In the search box at the top right, type "User Agent RG" (without the quote marks), then click on the magnifying glass to perform the search.
Step 4: You'll see User Agent RG (Ffox Update) 1.0 displayed near the top of the search results. Click the Install button for this program at the right of the screen
Step 5: Press the Alt key to display the menu bar again.
Step 6: Click on Tools -> User Agent -> Firefox -> 4
You should now be able to log into OBI normally. Remember that this process will need to be repeated for any future OBI sessions you wish to activate using Firefox.
Step 1: In Firefox, type about:config
Step 2: Right-click anywhere on the screen and select New, and then String, from the menus that appear
Step 3: Type (or copy and paste from here to avoid errors) general.useragent.override into the next box that appears, and click OK
Step 4: Type (or copy and paste from here to avoid errors) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; Windows NT 6.1; rv:10.0)Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0 into the next box that appears, and click OK.
Step 5: Refresh the OBI login screen.
You should now be able to log into OBI through Firefox whenever you need to.
