Configure all Managed Computers to use a centrally hosted "whitelist" file that allows otherwise Java-prohibited files from running Java by moving existing GPO hsu-java-site-exceptions-new to the level of Managed Computers and remove the current setting by unlinking hsu-java-site-exceptions-with-cert and hsu-lab-java-site-exceptions-with-cert.
The central list is a combined list of the current exceptions in use now.
Listed below are cases which will allow applications to run by adding the application url to the exception site list:
If application is not signed with a certificate from trusted certificate authority.
If application is hosted locally.
Jar file not having the Permission manifest attribute.
Application signed with an expired certificate.
Certificate used to sign the application cannot be checked for revocation.
Such sites include https://nolij.humboldt.edu:8443 and others.
The full live list is readable by text viewer at \\ad\hsu\gpoShare\dt\HSU\JavaSiteExceptions\ in filename exceptions.sites
Standardizes the exception list for efficiency and security.
