Affected in what way: 
Users may experience temporary unavailability while the Windows Active Directory system upgrade is completed. We do not expect that the system will be unavailable.
What happened: 
ITS will be performing tests and replacing the last Windows 2003 AD Server with a Windows 2008 AD Server.

The Windows 2008 Active Directory Domain Controller upgrade has been completed successfully. The last Windows 2003 DC has been retired. Please report Windows AD authentication issues to the helpdesk.
