MAP-Works, which stands for Making Achievement Possible, has been designed from the ground up to help students graduate successfully and on time. Using data from student surveys to analyze how individual students’ on- and off-campus lifestyle choices, study habits, financial and other practical issues may affect their progress towards graduation. The resulting recommendations are provided both to the individual student and to the network of faculty and staff supporting that student in order to facilitate the best strategies and activities for getting back on track.
The process begins with a baseline study when freshman students arrive on campus, and is updated regularly throughout the students’ first year; analysis may continue into sophomore year in some instances. All data is completely confidential between the student and those in his or her support network.
