System Status (Systat) provides the HSU community with the current status of all Humboldt State University central computer systems, including:

Maintenance schedules are timed to minimize inconvenience to users and, wherever possible, outage times are specified in the status notifications.

Any popular web browser can be used to view the current HSU system status reports.

The information hotline for the Humboldt State University campus is (707) 826-INFO (4636). Call this number for information about non-computer issues such as campus emergencies, building closures, and other conditions that may affect the normal operation of the University.

Accessing This Service

You can access Systat at any time to manually check on system status. You can also choose to receive automatic email updates by joining the Systat Google Group. The following conditions apply to the Systat group:

  • Anyone with a email address can join
  • Only members can view group content
  • Only members can view group members list
  • Only members can post

Using This Service

If you would like to receive an email alert whenever a system status update is posted, you can join the Systat Google Group by following these instructions:

  1. Go to
  2. In the right-hand column, click "Join this group"
  3. Set your email preferences and click "Join this group" to confirm your membership

Routine maintenance schedules are posted online, as are past status reports.
