Staff and faculty have access to a wide range of technology training resources at HSU, as well as other professional and personal development. topics. Many classes are repeated on regular schedules, while others are arranged in response to specific on-campus needs; topics range from improving competency in software applications to relaxation and stress management exercises - and much else in between.
You'll also find a complete library of documentation that supports training events and guidelines for requesting or adding your own event to the schedule on the Training & Professional Development website.
For events involving the use of computers, specific configuration requirements will be provided with registration confirmation.
Class schedules are not handled through Professional Training & Development. Please refer to the Moodle site for class schedules and associated instructional materials.
To locate or register for a training class, add a new class to the schedule, or search the document repository, go to the Training & Professional Development site. The site does not require a login, but you will need your HSU User Name and other validating credentials to register for a class.To create a class, please contact Jeff Williams for additional information.
Consult the training schedule, calendar, or catalog to locate classes of interest, and then click the Register button to confirm you wish to attend that particular class. If you can't find a training class that meets your needs, please submit a request form with a detailed description of your requirements.
The Training & Professional Development website uses a tool called 25Live to schedule rooms. Note that this tool is used only for room scheduling; to create or post a class, please submit a request form or contact us for more information.
Go to the Document Center and click on the appropriate topic in the right-hand margin to locate the documentation you need.
Classes may take place online or in a physical location.
