Several changes and actions performed resolved the immediate issues and performance appears to be back to normal. CMS Central continues to review failed processes that are in “No Success” status and will take the appropriate corrective action. The daily jobsets will be resumed, however, start times may be delayed due to the maintenance.”.

CMS/Peoplesoft Jun 16 2011 - 18:00 Anyone who uses PeopleSoft CFS (Finance) CMS Central will install numerous updates and one fix (refer to CFS Bulletin 1030 2011). These changes do not affect campus end users (other than that the system will not be available).

Technical problem/resolution (per Remedy ticket 213736) "Bounce the fcfsprd db/as/psunx/psnt between 7 and 8 pm tonight. Jobs failing: PT#213703 - nagios FCFSPRD - PNSUnx Critical SQL query Execution Failed."

CMS/Peoplesoft Jun 2 2011 - 09:58 Users of PeopleSoft HCM Production Resolution: Degraded service a result of a CMS Central batch server being unavailable which forced all services from three to two servers resulting in reduced performance. Resolved by CMS 6/2 11:30a with some lingering effects while jobs transitioned from the 2 servers to the restored three. No root cause has yet been provided by CMS.

These changes do not impact the system functionality for non-Finance/end-users.

Wireless Network May 9 2011 - 07:09 Unregistered users trying to register on the wireless network The campus has experienced increasing growth of wireless devices associated to the wireless network. Plans have been made this summer to implement a replacement NAC system which will operate on an entire campus license instead of individual user licensing. Should the pool run out again, all users with a last name starting with 'R' will be expired and this will continue as needed reverse alphabetically.

Campus Data Network Apr 30 2011 - 18:00 All of the campus community, on and off campus. The HSU campus has completed all components of the CSU ITRP2 network upgrade project. In order to receive final sign-off with ATT DataCom and the CSU Chancellors office, fail-over testing must be conducted to ensure the network responds to simulated failures as designed.
