Other Apr 23 2015 - 11:00 Security updates will be applied to our Mac Management Application deployment server, which will be rebooted. Affecting only Mac users, The Self Service App for Mac users will be available during this reboot, however some installations will fail, and will need to be retried after the server is rebooted. UPDATE: 11:06 Reboot has completed, services restored.

KBOX Ticketing System Apr 14 2015 - 16:45 Anyone trying to access the KBOX ticketing system KBOX stopped receiving email status updates. Further investigation revealed one or more services not running. We are also experiencing an issue with tickets not showing up in searches. Working with Dell Tech Support. They requested we reboot KBOX while they monitor. UPDATE(1): There seems to be a problem with communication between the SMTP server and KBOX and we are testing changes to the Firewall to see if that helps. KBOX is unable to send out status update emails as they are not being received from the SMTP server. *** Update *** Too much Spam "clogged" the queue between the SMTP server, and KBox, resulting in new connections being rejected. The issue has been mitigated for now by additionally removing unwanted "" queued mail on SMTP server every 5 minutes.
KBOX Ticketing System Apr 10 2015 - 17:30 Anyone trying to access the KBOX ticketing system Following the upgrade of KBOX we noticed we were not receiving email status updates. Further investigation revealed one or more services not running. We are hopeful that rebooting KBOX will start these services. UPDATE: KBOX is back up and all services are running. Updated status emails are successfully being sent.

Account Center Apr 6 2015 - 15:00 Users who received an email from Account Center periodically resyncs Active Directory passwords. Monday at 3:00 PM we enabled the Fischer ctrl-alt-delete password capture service. This service had the unexpected result in capturing the Account Center resyncs and pushing those out to other systems through Fischer. One of the processes through Account Center is to set the password in Active Directory to a dummy password first, then set the true password. Fischer may have pushed this dummy password instead the other systems instead of the true password.
Moodle Apr 7 2015 - 23:00 All Moodle Users PC was creating an endless loop of Apache treads, effectively "drowning out" all other legitimate access to Moodle. The PC has been temporarily blocked in the host firewall. PC may have a stuck keyboard, or be caught on a page creating an infinite loop on the Web Server. Rebooted server after Firewall rule.

KBOX Ticketing System Mar 31 2015 - 09:00 Anyone attempting to use, send emails to, or respond to Help tickets We need to perform the final upgrade to the KBOX and move the system to a new image to resolve problems with swap space.
KBOX Ticketing System Mar 30 2015 - 07:15 Anyone attempting to use, send emails to, or respond to Help tickets The KBOX is receiving several thousands of bad emails per hour and is unable to keep up with the traffic. After a reboot, KBOX is running a check on the database which is taking some time. We will be taking the KBOX offline for a while in order to let it finish its database check and 'catch up'. ** (Update 2) The system continues to be unresponsive even when taken off line, we are in the progress of moving it to a new virtual machine template which should allow access to more resources. **(Update 2)** The new system is still importing and processing the backup files, it should come back online soon **(Update 3) ** KBOX is back online as of 2:12 PM, we will continue to monitor the service
