Campus Data Network Jan 8 2014 - 10:00 All network users whether on a wired or wireless connection in the below listed buildings only. *** As of 10:21am Walter Warren Hs 38 is restored as well *** As of 10:16am, all services have been restored except Walter Warren House 38. TNS is still working on this Service. *** The Master Control Unit needs to be rebooted due to a hung process. Once system is rebooted, services will be restored.

Campus Data Network Jan 6 2014 - 09:40 Resnet wired and wireless network users only All services have been restored. Cause was due to the Layer 3 switch that crashed. TNS is investigating.
Campus Data Network Jan 3 2014 - 08:00 Health Center network users only (those connected to this switch) *** As of 1/3/14 9am, the upgrade has been completed, service is restored. *** The switch is at maximum capacity. TNS is upgrading the switch to increase its capacity.
Off-Campus Internet Connection Dec 16 2013 - 12:01 Possibly any network user on Campus Service has been restored. Cenic, our internet provider, is working with AT&T to see what happened.
Campus Data Network Dec 16 2013 - 10:34 Network users at Marine Lab Trinidad only ** Update as of 10:48am, service has been restored. Suddenlink CPE lost sync with the DOCSIS 3 neighborhood node for unknown reasons. Logs show issues with sync in the last ten days. A Suddenlink technician has been dispatched to check signal levels ASAP. ** Unknown at this time. TNS is investigating. Check back for updates.

Campus Data Network Dec 10 2013 - 14:50 Network Users in Bret Harte House and Warren House ** Update as of 4:15pm. Cause: A critical routing process was resource starved due to excessive resource usage by another process. *** Unknown. TNS is still investigating the cause. Service is restored.
Other Dec 12 2013 - 07:00 Camtasia Relay service users A work around was created to put the services back online on the 3rd. This work period is to repair the original problem.

Wireless Network Dec 6 2013 - 10:20 Wireless users on the 5th floor of BSSB building ** Update as of 11:15am, Access Point was replaced and service has been restored. ** One of the Access Points has stopped working. TNS is working to replace it. Check back for updates.

Wireless Network Nov 26 2013 - 08:30 All campus community on campus Tuesday November 26th For Users: In order to keep the network working well, we have to add more capacity. If you will be here November 26th, you'll have to use a wired connection in your office. For IT Support: Additional IP sub-nets will be added to the existing Vlan pool to bring total support to just over 16K devices. This will change the main hashing algorithm used for load balancing among sub-nets, which necessitates forcing all devices to re-authenticate post outage.

It also caused network delays in accessing HSU services from off campus. The attack was mitigated by HSU's upstream ISP, CENIC around 22:15. ***UPDATE 21:53 - Cause Identified as a Denial of Service Attack (Dos). We are working to isolate and filter the traffic. *** Unknown at this time, will post more information as it becomes available.

CFS Production (FCFSPRD) and CFS Data Warehouse application and database services will be unavailable, including process schedulers and integration broker, while Physical Inventory Tracking Report and CFS SSO Authentication are installed.
