Wireless Connections for Campus Guests

Humboldt offers free use of a self-service guest wireless network while you’re visiting campus. Just choose the HSUConnect option on your device when you are on campus, follow the instructions below to register, and you should be all set!

Registering with HSUConnect

  1. Open your WiFi connection settings and select HSUConnect
  2. Open a web browser, if you aren't automatically redirected to the login page, go to: hum.link/hsuconnect  (Note: this link only works correctly when connected to HSUConnect)
  3. If you have previously had a guest account at Humboldt, enter the User Name and Password for that account, accept the terms of use by checking the box, and hit Log in.
  4. If you do not have an account, hit Register HERE and complete the information requested or choose to sign in using one of the social network platforms shown. Accept the terms of use by checking the box, then hit Register. You should now see the guest account information you entered, along with your guest password and the period for which your account is valid. Hit Login.
  5. Confirm your connection is active by opening your WiFi connections again. You should see HSUConnect - Connected.

If you experience any difficulties connecting to HSUConnect, please call the Humboldt Technology Help Desk at (707) 826-4357 for assistance. While the help desk staff cannot work on personal devices directly, they can talk you through resolving the problem.

Eduroam for .edu visitors

Visitors from other academic institutions with an eduroam account can access the wireless network directly via the eduroam option on your device.

Your device must be running a currently supported operating system, and laptops must have anti-virus with up-to-date definitions installed in order to connect to eduroam.

Arranging connectivity for sponsored guests

To organize wireless connectivity in advance for sponsored campus guests such as contractors, visiting faculty, or speakers, sponsoring departments can apply for a Humboldt guest account
