Moderators have several options for this:
- Voice over IP (VoIP) - Blackboard Collaborate uses Voice over IP (VoIP), which means all audio communication takes place over the Internet. The quality is good, the cost is free except for the cost of a headset and microphone. Affordable headsets with noise-cancelling microphones are available at the HSU Bookstore.
- Teleconference - HSU offers AT&T Reservationless Teleconferencing services. The cost is about two cents per minute per person and charged to the session host's department. If you already have an account, you may use it now. If you do not have an account, ask your Key Advisor to make the necessary arrangements for you. Be sure to get an AT&T Reservationless account, not an AT&T WebConnect account; the latter service is not covered under the HSU contract.
- Voice over IP (VoIP) and Teleconference - When the host has scheduled a session in which participants may be using a mix of VoIP and telephone, Blackboard Collaborate allows the meeting host to connect everyone through a telephone bridge.
