Degree Audit Report (DARS)

Description

The Degree Audit Report for Students (DARS) is a comprehensive web-based academic audit that matches a student’s academic history with his/her degree requirements and enables what-if scenarios to be run. Students, faculty, and advsers can access and run DARS reports online at any time through myHumboldt.

Any popular web browser, along with your HSU User Name and Password, is all that's needed to access the DARS on computers or mobile devices.

Accessing This Service

Students

Faculty

  • Go to myHumboldt
  • Log in with your HSU User Name and Password
  • Select DARS in the new pagelet on the Faculty/Staff Resources page
     

Using This Service

Students

Once you're in DARS self-service:

  • Select Run Current Programs, or Run Selected Program for a what-if audit.
    • For a what-if audit, select the Degree and Catalog Year from the drop-down menus.
  • Choose the Interactive or PDF format under Options, then click Run Audit.
  • Click Program number or View Audit.
  • To print your audit report, click the printer-friendly icon and follow the on-screen prompts.

Hover over the graphs or review the different tabs (Audit Results, HSU Coursework, Applied Exceptions) for more information.

Faculty

Once you're in DARS self-service:

DARS is protected by a time-out period which logs you out of the application if you have not accessed it for 45 minutes (as is myHumboldt). You'll see a warning message before the system logs you out, at which point you can choose to stay logged in if you wish. 

Think security when you log out of an application or myHumboldt and be sure to close your browser to fully quit or exit the application.
