The campus community is mourning the loss of Linda Scott, who was a volunteer instructor in the Department of Kinesiology and Recreation Administration. She died Tuesday evening in a traffic accident near Blue Lake.
Linda had taught for many years at HSU, and was teaching multiple sections of Bowling this semester. Colleagues in the Department remember her as a wonderful person who was well-liked by students and faculty.
This is a difficult loss for our University, most especially Linda's family, friends, students and colleagues. On behalf of the campus, I would like to express our deepest condolences to all those who were close to her. Our thoughts are with them, and we are here to support them.
We have been notifying colleagues and students throughout the day. Counseling and other services are being offered, and anyone seeking support may contact the Counseling Center on campus at 826-3236.
