OLLI at Humboldt partners each season with CenterArts to bring diverse shows to Cal Poly Humboldt.

OLLI Members with a current 2019-2020 membership are eligible for a 20% discount on the shows listed below, sponsored by OLLI at Humboldt.

All 37 plays in 97 minutes! The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) is an irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's plays. It was London's longest running comedy, having clocked nine years in London's West End. The show has been seen at the Kennedy Center, Off-Broadway, and from sea to shining sea. Join these madcap men in tights as they weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare's Comedies, Histories, and Tragedies in one wild and memorable ride. It's a show that leaves audiences helpless with laughter.

For more than 40 years, this famed Swiss theatrical troupe has created an original and captivating universe of whimsy, wonder, and ingenuity that delights both young and old. Using an array of imaginative props, giant set pieces, and masks, their kinetic creations suddenly transform inanimate objects into fantastical creatures. The magical morphology of Mummenschanz transcends barriers of language in a hit show that has dazzled spectators of all ages on six continents!

Direct from Krasnoyarsk, Russia, the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra makes its Humboldt debut under the baton of acclaimed Music Director Vladimir Lande. Founded in 1977, the orchestra quickly won a reputation as one of the leading orchestras from Russia. The orchestra will harness its abundant expressive power in an exciting program that includes a selection of great Russian classics.

Hailing from Nara, Japan, these youthful taiko masters combine riveting musicianship and highly coordinated movement with psychedelic punk-meets-samurai costumes and a huge assortment of massive drums built from ancient tree trunks. In their new production Passion, the artists offer a thrilling program that celebrates the unbridled emotion and boundless energy of traditional Japanese drumming.
