Free Vehicle Jump Starts & Lock Out Services

Imagine getting in your car after a hard day's night, putting your keys in the ignition and getting... nothing. Your car will not start. The lights won't turn on. The power windows work. The battery is dead. Unless you have a friend in the area with jumper cables, you are probably out of luck. Or suppose you get in your car and realize you forgot an important file. You race back to your office to retrieve it, only to find that you locked your keys in your car.You could call a locksmith, or a roadside assistance service. Your other alternative is to phone University Police, who will dispatch someone to assist you, at no cost, in approximately 15 minutes. Simply call (707) 826-5555 (ext. 5555 from campus phone) and a Parking Officer will be sent to your location.

Alternate Transportation

The concept of transportation alternatives is not a new one; it is, very simply, finding an alternative to one-car, one-driver commuting. The alternative may be in the form of a carpool, transit bus, bicycle, moped/motorcycle, or as a pedestrian. Each of these alternatives offers benefits to the user as well as to the University and the community including:

  • Saving money
  • Saving vehicle wear and tear
  • Saving gas and reducing energy consumption
  • Reducing traffic and parking congestion
  • Providing an environment to meet new friends, and it is better for the environment.

Below are links describing the variety of transportation alternatives available to the campus community. Try a new form of transportation today!
