ACTIVITIES AT START OF NEW ACADEMIC YEAR

HSU Faculty and Staff,

During the next few weeks, the campus will host events and activities to welcome new and returning students, orient new faculty and staff, and prepare for the year. Please participate as you are able and offer assistance to our newcomers and guests.

The campus-wide activities include:

  • Welcome Home to Humboldt, Aug. 13 through September. Events, social activities, and more to welcome new students as well as returning students. More
  • Move-in Days, Aug. 13 and 15-16. Students will be moving in to the residence halls, many of them assisted by their families. Parking will be impacted, and there will be no faculty and staff parking in lots G1 and R2.
  • Humboldt Orientation Program, Aug. 17-19. Students and family members will participate in workshops and activities across campus. For many, this will be their first time on campus. More
  • Fall Welcome, 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17 in Van Duzer Theatre. Remarks to faculty and staff by President Lisa Rossbacher, followed by refreshments.
  • Institute for Student Success, 12:45 to 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19 in the Native American Forum. An interactive session meant to engage participants in difficult dialogues related to creating an inclusive environment. More
  • HSU Family Picnic, 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19 on the Campus Events Field. An event for HSU faculty, staff, and their families with BBQ, games, and more.
